Inghams-Rotterdam
Eastern New York
National Grid’s Inghams-Rotterdam project includes rebuilding approximately 65 miles of existing 115kV transmission line and associated work to build, reconfigure and upgrade substations.
The project is currently in its fieldwork and design phase. Environmental and geotechnical field studies (soil borings) were completed in the summer and fall of 2023 and will continue in 2024 as design and routing are refined. As the project moves to the permitting phase, neighbors will receive more details on the project design, location, timeline, and how to participate in the permitting process.
This project will require Article VII permitting to proceed. For more information about permitting, please see our Project FAQ page.
The permitting process includes opportunities for public involvement and comment from permitting through construction. To contact National Grid with a question or comment, you may reach us by phone at 877-551-4743 or [email protected].
Once National Grid submits its Article VII Application to the Public Service Commission, interested persons who wish to participate as parties in this case may file for party status. This may be done through the Commission’s website. Further instructions will become available here once the Application is submitted.
